Abstract After the introduction of general concepts and conditions of Cross Enterprise Engineering and Virtual Product Development, the main influencing factors for these areas are addressed. In the next step, Engineering Change Management, as one core process, and an operational application example is analyzed regarding its challenges for employees involved in the process.
