First Symposium on Ornamental Plants in Quedlinburg, November 15th-16th, 2011 Ornamental plants shape the picture of our society with their large variety of species. Ornamental plant breeding creates the conditions for a successful ornamental plant production. The symposium is centred on themes of research and development in ornamental plant breeding. The topics range from plant genetic resources, breeding methods and molecular marker techniques to procedures of plant phenotyping.
