In just a few years, the Bavarian-born ex-model Ellen von Unwerth captured the attention of the fashion world. Her photography features the faces and bodies of top models and celebrities, and gives her famous male counterparts, such as Helmut Newton and Peter Lindbergh, a run for their money. Her work takes on an erotic edge, but this often gives way to romanticism, femininity and charm. Von Unwerth's photography has featured in fashion magazines, international advertising campaigns and music videos. She has worked with and directed artists such as N'Dea Davenport, Duran Duran and Salt 'n' Pepa.
