The European Reformation

Green's account of the Protestant Reformation which was inspired by, among others, Martin Luther and John Calvin, looks at the main personalities, events and ideas of this ferment of change, revealing the medieval background to many of the leading ideas of the reformation, and considering the long-term legacy of radicalism and individualism which it created. Separate chapters deal with the Reformation in England, Germany, Switzerland, France, the Low Countries and Scandinavia.
