Více o knize

The development of an information society is expected to stimulate economic growth and productivity, create new economic activities and jobs. Broad beneficial impacts should improve all economic sectors. How can we seize these unparalleled opportunities and address the fundamental issues they raise? Increased co-operation will be necessary, given the globalisation of economies and the impact of new communication technologies. Public policy needs to design a consistent framework to enable the private sector to be a driving force in developing and achieving the information society. The aim of this report is to develop policies that fully exploit the contributions of advances in technology in the context of Global Information Infrastructures -- Global Information Society (GII-GIS).
