In the middle of the sea, the "Garden of the Virgin" stands with the imposing domes of Athos among blooming and blessed trees, tended by human hands. The reader-traveler will celebrate the grape harvest in Naoussa and come face to face with the Janissaries and the Boules of the carnival.
