The Great Wall is a milestone in the history of the world's architecture. The present well-preserved Great Wall was built in the Ming Dynasty. It extends some 6,300 km., from the Shanhai Pass in Hebei Province in the east to the Jiayu Pass in Gansu Province in the west.
