Wizard of Loneliness

Set during World War II, the story follows young Wendall Oler, who is sent to live with his father's family in rural Vermont. Initially, he channels his anger over his mother's death and his father's departure into tyrannizing his new relatives. However, as he experiences the warmth and love of the country family, Wendall's hardened heart begins to soften, leading to a transformative journey of healing and acceptance.
