Více o knize

Summary: The collection The book in the 20th Century comprises books, journals and anthologies designed by renowned representatives of, not only Czech, but also, for instance, German or Russian 20th century fine art. The focal point of the collection is the Czech book culture avant-garde, but the time span of the collection has gradually extended both to the past (Art Nouveau, Symbolism, Decadence) and present (mainly the 1960s). The collection is complemented by the Library of O.F. Babler, a distinguished Olomouc translator and bibliophile, whose library and estate the Museum of Art received in 2005. The second collection comprises international or, more accurately, Euro-Atlantic authors' books and books conceived as work of art (mid 20th century up to the present day) reflecting the variety of possible approaches to this intermedia art form.
