Sister Mary Helen and her long-suffering old friend Sister Eileen have arrived at St. Colette's Retreat House a week earlier. Unfortunately, so have a convention of San Francisco priests. The sisters encounter a boisterous group of hard-drinking pastors, and under the glorious mountain pines--a corpse. The local police don't have a prayer when it comes to clues, but perhaps a contemplative nun--with a gift for sleuthing--can divine the telltale evidence.
