This catalog raisonne of video sculptures and installations was published for the occasion of two exhibitions to be held at the Guggenheim Museum in Soho, New York and the San Diego Museum of Modern Art. Plessi's point of departure was the performance of his experimental film. In the mid-seventies, he developed his proper conception of video sculpture. The topic of this Opus is the complete catalog of these works, hence it comprises the period from 1976 until 1998, chronologically ordered according to the first presentation of each piece. In case of subsequent presentations or variations, the relevant information is supplied. The appendix consists of both biographical and bibliographical data of the artist, and accompanying this is a register of the works in several selections.
