Více o knize

The book of stories recorded during a journey from Vambeřice to Broumov contains 12 comics by contemporary European authors inspired by the history and tales from the Sudetenland. This book was created as part of a Czech-French-Italian project supported by the European Union during a six-day pilgrimage through the Broumov region and a six-day stay at the Broumov monastery. The stories told here, along with many others, were heard from various storytellers: the Broumov landscape is multilayered, intersecting and imprinting traces of the medieval spiritual landscape, Baroque re-Catholicization, the dramatic and terrifying 20th century, and the consequences of toothless capitalism in the 1990s, along with abandonment and natural wealth, as well as German, Czech, and Polish influences.
