Children in Slovenian elementary schools have been entrusted with the important task of reviving the forgotten cultural culinary heritage on today’s menus. They explored the kitchens of their grandmothers, relatives, and neighbors. This is a story about Slovenian heritage, the gastronomic diversity of villages and towns, and their culture of eating as it used to be. It reflects on poverty on the plates in times without refrigerators and the origins of the dishes that still belong today.
