Her husband had vented his anger and jealousy and disfigured her face with acid. This book is the story of tragedy and rebirth of a woman : her difficult childhood, work as a dancer admired and censured, falling in love, disappointments, her marriage to the son of a prominent politician, and after the violence of the acid, the long-term care, the slow reconstruction of interior and exterior, the return to a normal life.
