Bodies of Evidence

Forensic Science and Crime

Hodnocení knihy

Více o knize

This volume, meant for general readers, describes the history and techniques of forensic science from the 1930s to present-day methods. Crime scene search and reconstruction, prints and identification, autopsy, ballistics, blood patterns, psychological profiling, trace evidence, DNA, and other forensic procedures are explained. Photos are integrated throughout the text, and many case studies are included, such as the Lindbergh case, JonBenet Ramsey crime scene, Kennedy assassinations, 9/11, and the O.J. Simpson trial. Although the book's design is attractive, the quarter-screened images printed under the text of nearly every page do not always aid readability. Christianson is a former New York state criminal justice official, investigative reporter, college professor, and author of many books and articles.
