Louise Nevelson (1899–1988) is one of the most important sculptors of the last century, famous for her large-scale, monochromatic wood assemblages and outdoor works. Nevelson was born in Czarist Russia and immigrated to the US with her family at the age of three. This publication focuses on her collage work, made throughout her career and equally important as her parallel work of the time. Nevelson’s collages have been out of the public eye for three decades.
