After working as a lawyer for (too) many years, Helmi Smeulders picked up her pots and pans and started her own catering business. Homemade and fresh food are the secret ingredients of her success. By living in the Caribbean on the island of Curaçao she got inspired and started developing her own recipes and food blog ‘Spice Girl – Caribbean Flavors with a Twist’, to change the traditional Caribbean kitchen into one with a modern twist.
