In this book invited experts were requested to review the current state of our knowledge with regard to the physiologic actions of calcium antagonists modulating renal hemodynamics and excretory function, as well as hormonal alterations. More importantly for clinicians and scientists interested in a wide array of renal functional disorders and hypertension, they have examined how calcium antagonists modulate renal function and perhaps alter or reverse renal dysfunction in a number of experimental models of renal dysfunction.
