My Favorite Prayer Stories

Více o knize

In the third installment of Joe L. Wheeler's Favorite Stories collection, Lynn embarks on a daunting journey as dusk descends. The path ahead is dark and foreboding, but his skills as a woodsman guide him through the tranquil forest. Suddenly, the sound of a twig snapping nearby disrupts the silence, and Lynn realizes a mountain lion is stalking him. Tension mounts as he whispers a prayer for protection, hoping to fulfill his mission of reaching the ranger’s cabin to help a stricken comrade. The lion circles him, drawing closer with each pass, and Lynn’s heart races as he struggles to find the cabin’s light in the enveloping darkness. Despite his rapid pace, the cabin remains elusive, and the sound of the lion’s soft padding grows alarmingly near. Lynn knows the predator could pounce at any moment, intensifying his desperation. This gripping tale underscores the belief that prayers serve not only to fulfill our needs but also to strengthen our bond with the divine.
