Octoberland

Více o knize

Thana Niveau's stories explore individuals teetering on the brink—of death, sanity, and reality. This diverse collection includes two sisters on the run, leaving a trail of bodies as they flee their dark past. A film enthusiast becomes haunted by an actress from the brutal horror films he obsessively watches. A child hears ghostly numbers through the radio, while a young woman returns to Octoberland, the beloved amusement park that shattered her world alongside her brother. Horror manifests in various forms, from creeping dread to apocalyptic devastation, with no character escaping its dark influence. Between summer and winter, night and day, and good and evil lies Octoberland—a realm where ancient Gods meet their end. The carvings hint at true faces, not mere masks, revealing modern evils lurking beneath the surface. The narrative weaves through a world that rebels against its inhabitants, where snow swirls like ocean currents and a labyrinth leads deeper into mystery. Here, the ocean reveals hidden horrors, and love emerges in unexpected places. Thana Niveau invites readers to navigate Octoberland, where nothing is as it seems and understanding may be a perilous endeavor.
