One of the major tasks facing every adolescent and young adult is the development of one’s own personality. This volume also presents the methods employed in psychological counseling. Particular consideration is paid to how to encounter feelings of parental guilt from a pastoral viewpoint and how to accept them as caring and loving people.

Das Buch macht die unbewusste Matrix der Gruppe zum Bezugspunkt des Verstehens und Intervenierens. Es stellt das ausschließlich von den Kindern entwickelte Spiel ins Zentrum der Aufmerksamkeit: Heilung entwickelt sich im Spiel, indem der Leiter den Kindern ermöglicht, so in Kontakt zu kommen, dass sie ihre unbewussten Phantasien spielerisch gestalten. Seine Interventionen laufen darauf hinaus, die Dynamik des einzelnen Kindes zu der Dynamik der Gruppe in Beziehung zu setzen - so werden sowohl das einzelne Kind als auch die Gruppe angesprochen.
