Okultismus, soubor "tajných nauk" - základem je latinské slovo occultus, z něhož vznikl výraz okultní s významem "skrytý" nebo "utajený" - znamená víru ve zvláštní působení skrytých přírodních sil a věří v možnost ovládat je i využívat.
