William Hazlitt

    William Hazlitt byl anglický spisovatel, který je připomínán pro své humanistické eseje a literární kritiku, a také jakolektor a filozof. Dnes je považován za jednoho z největších kritiků a esejistů v anglickém jazyce, vedle Samuela Johnsona a George Orwella. Během svého života se spřátelil s mnoha osobnostmi, které jsou nyní součástí literárního kánonu 19. století, včetně Charlese a Mary Lambových, Stendhala, Samuela Taylora Coleridge a Williama Wordswortha.
