Nicolas de Oliveira Knihy

This 368-page artist's book presents a collaboration between the young Brussels-based artist Hans Op de Beeck and authors Nicolas de Oliveira and Nicola Oxley. It collects artworks from the last 10 years alongside texts that generate from questions posed by literary figures like Jorge Luis Borges, Italo Calvino, Georges Perec and Alain Robbe-Grillet.

Exploring the traditions, achievements and ambitions of the installation artist, this survey documents and illustrates a global range of installations: site works from Christo, James Turrell and Hans Haacke; media pieces by Wolf Vostell, Joseph Kosuth and others; the museum works of Barbara Bloom and Mike Kelley; and architectural works by Rachel Whiteread, Mario Merz and Vong Phaophanit.
