Heinrich Suso Knihy

Jindřich Suso (zemř. 1366) patří k nejvýznamnějším pokračovatelům středověkého filosofa a kazatele Mistra Eckharta. Jeho Knížka pravdy je ve své stručnosti pronikavou obhajobou Eckhartových myšlenek odsouzených papežskou bulou z r. 1329, třebaže jméno slavného dominikána zůstává nevyřčeno. V knize, která byla nazvána „nejobtížnějším textem německé mystiky“, se pod rouškou vizí, obrazných líčení a fiktivních dialogů rozpřádá filosoficky přesný rozbor ústředních Eckhartových témat, jako je rození Božího Syna v duši, zbožštění člověka či jeho sjednocení s Bohem v „základu duše“. Susovy jde především o odlišení těchto koncepcí od údajných heretických nauk „svobodných duchů“; jeho pojednání se tak zároveň stává jedním z nejvýznamnějších dokumentů k dějinám tohoto duchovního směru. První český překlad je bohatě doplněn poznámkami, doprovází jej rovněž rozsáhlejší studie věnovaná Susovu životu, dílu a jeho hlavním tématům, jakož i rozboru Knížky pravdy.

Das "Büchlein der Wahrheit" ist das erste Werk aus der Feder des großen deutschen Mystikers Heinrich Seuse und entstand um das Jahr 1329. Ursprünglich zur Verteidigung seines der Häresie angeklagten Lehrers Meister Eckhart verfaßt, wurde es auch bald einem breiteren Publikum bekannt: Es ist ein Dialog über die höchsten Fragen, über Gott und Gottes Wesen, Einheit und Dreieinigkeit, Schöpfung und Menschwerdung, Vereinigung der Seele mit Gott hier und im Jenseits, Freiheit und Sittlichkeit usw. Es ist Seuses einziges Werk über spekulative Mystik, manches ist schwer und dunkel darin und richtet sich im weiteren Sinn auch gegen das mystische Verständnis der damals immer wieder im Verdacht der Häresie stehenden Begharden und Brüder des freien Geistes.
