Der Autor weiß, dass es in den Naturwissenschaften kaum mehr Zweifel am anthropogenen, also dem durch die Menschheit verursachten Klimawandel gibt. Und trotzdem zeigen nur die wenigsten Menschen Betroffenheit, geschweige denn Zorn. Henighan macht deutlich, dass nicht weniger als das Wohl der Menschheit, wenn nicht gar das menschliche Überleben auf dem Spiel steht, wenn wir einen ungebremsten Klimawandel zulassen.
