      • 5 hodin čtení

Focusing on color-induced graph colorings, this book explores vertex colorings derived from edge colorings, examining various properties and outcomes. It covers both proper and unrestricted edge colorings, leading to discussions on proper and rainbow vertex colorings. Key concepts include irregular, strong, modular, edge-graceful, twin edge, and binomial colorings. With a blend of foundational background, results, and open questions, it serves as a resource for mathematicians, researchers, and graduate students interested in contemporary graph theory.

For courses in Transition to Advanced Mathematics or Introduction to Proof. Meticulously crafted, student-friendly text that helps build mathematical maturity Mathematical Proofs: A Transition to Advanced Mathematics, 4th Edition introduces students to proof techniques, analyzing proofs, and writing proofs of their own that are not only mathematically correct but clearly written. Written in a student-friendly manner, it provides a solid introduction to such topics as relations, functions, and cardinalities of sets, as well as optional excursions into fields such as number theory, combinatorics, and calculus. The exercises receive consistent praise from users for their thoughtfulness and creativity. They help students progress from understanding and analyzing proofs and techniques to producing well-constructed proofs independently. This book is also an excellent reference for students to use in future courses when writing or reading proofs. 0134746759 / 9780134746753 Chartrand/Polimeni/Zhang, Mathematical Proofs: A Transition to Advanced Mathematics, 4/e

The book provides an in-depth examination of the local property tax's development and implementation in China, initiated in response to soaring real estate prices and economic challenges post-Asian financial crisis. It highlights the government's efforts to regulate the property market through pilot programs, emphasizing the tax's potential to reshape public finance and governance. By adopting a public choice perspective, the authors advocate for the property tax as a tool for addressing socio-economic issues, making it a vital resource for researchers and policymakers interested in fiscal reforms.

    • "Human-Computer Interaction and Management Information Systems: Foundations" offers state-of-the-art research by a distinguished set of authors who span the MIS and HCI fields. The original chapters provide authoritative commentaries and in-depth descriptions of research programs that will guide 21st century scholars, graduate students, and industry professionals. Human-Computer Interaction (or Human Factors) in MIS is concerned with the ways humans interact with information, technologies, and tasks, especially in business, managerial, organizational, and cultural contexts. It is distinctive in many ways when compared with HCI studies in other disciplines. The MIS perspective affords special importance to managerial and organizational contexts by focusing on analysis of tasks and outcomes at a level that considers organizational effectiveness. With the recent advancement of technologies and development of many sophisticated applications, human-centeredness in MIS has become more critical than ever before. This book focuses on the basics of HCI, with emphasis on concepts, issues, theories, and models that are related to understanding human tasks, and the interactions among humans, tasks, information, and technologies in organizational contexts in general.

    • This book probes into China's economic growth in 2013 and predicts China's development prospects. China’s GDP growth in 2014 continues to slow down, and is expected to be 7.6%, with the CPI stable at a level of 2.5%. With the pressures of structural slowdown, 2014 will be a year of adjustment, and there will be a slowdown in new initiatives to minimize risk. Against a background of policies to stabilize growth, change structures and promote reforms, and in order to assess the sustainability of development and transformation and upgrade of China's provincial regions, this book proposes a system for evaluating the country’s development prospects and expounds economic growth at the provincial level.
