Kellers Etruskerbuch (zuerst BA 272, 142 unter dem Titel "Denn sie entzündeten das Licht") hat Taschenbuch- und Sonderausgabe erlebt (ID 4/74; BA 5/78, 130; BA 4/77, 162); hiermit liegt eine weitere unveränderte, preiswerte Sonderausgabe vor. Dieser "Bestseller" der populären historischen Sachliteratur wurde gelobt wegen seiner spannenden und materialreichen Darstellung, aber auch kritisiert wegen der Vermischung von Hypothesen und Tatsachen. Vorrangig wurden Heurgon (BA 10/77, 171; 3. Auflage 1981) und auch Hamblin (BA 5/78, 129) empfohlen; seit kurzem liegt mit Pallotinos (Etruskologie" (ID 1/89), ein "Klassiker" auf dem neuesten Forschungsstand, das Handbuch zum Thema vor.
