Tolikrát jsi slíbil, že se polepšíš, ale ani jednou jsi to nedokázal! To ti nevadí, jaké starosti nám děláš? Jsi pěkný lumpík! Jak to dokážeš, že tě přesto máme všichni rádi? Když se příběh chýlí ke konci a tebe sežere obrovitý žralok, setkáš se v jeho útrobách s Geppettem, kterého žralok schramstl dřív než tebe. A tobě se podaří tatínka zachránit! Ano: někdy je třeba klesnout až na úplné dno, aby se člověk mohl nadechnout a vybojoval si právo na život. Drahý rošťáčku Pinocchio, moc rádi s tebou kamarádíme!

Die farbigen Bilder von Fritz Kredel zeigen die jeweiligen Vögel bei ihrem kunstvollen Nestbau: Zaunkönig, Rotkehlchen, Weidenlaubsänger, Schwanzmeise, Goldhähnchen, Samtköpfchen, Gartengrasmücke, Sumpfrohrsänger und viele mehr. So vielfältig die Vogelgestalten, so verschiedenartig sind auch die Formen der Nester, die gebaut und hier gezeigt werden.

Wilhlem Hauff (1802-1827) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller der Romantik und Hauptvertreter der schwabischen Dichterschule. Sein beruhmtes Marchen Zwerg Nase fallt in die Zeit der Spatromantik und wurde im Jahre 1827 in seinem Marchen-Almanach fur Sohne und Tochter gebildeter Stande erstmals veroffentlicht. Die Geschichte des kleinen Jakob, der von einer alten Frau in einen hasslichen Zwerg verwandelt wird, erfreut sich noch heute grosser Beliebtheit und wurde etliche Male neu aufgelegt und mehrmals verfilmt.
