John Giorno Knihy

John Giorno, jedna z výrazných postav avantgardy 60. let, mezi které patřili zejména Ginsberg, Burroughs, Corso a Gysin, byl raným průkopníkem multimediální poezie prostřednictvím svého projektu Giorno Poetry Systems. Tento projekt byl skutečným „kdo je kdo“ v americkém undergroundu – od Patti Smith po Sonic Youth. Giornovo neustálé, programové boření konvencí a jeho přímočarý, úderný projev měly zásadní vliv také na průkopníky punku a new wave, jako byli Throbbing Gristle a Black Flag. Giorno nebyl jen básníkem, ale i sexuálním, spirituálním, politickým a výtvarným radikálem; v 60. letech byl průkopníkem otevřené queer sexuality v poezii. Vydávaná kniha nabízí to nejlepší z Giornovy revoluční tvorby – od jeho výrazných básní 60. let ovlivněných pop artem přes psychedelické, opakováním zesílené „cut-up“ texty 70. let s jejich explozivními popisy sexu, duchovní praxe a bohémského života až po úsporné performativní básně ve stylu punku a hip hopu, jež Giorno přednášel v 80. letech. Kniha rovněž obsahuje text Ptáci, který nebyl nikdy dříve publikován.
