Dojemný příběh s dobrým koncem vypráví o osiřelém děvčátku Heidi, o které se nemá kdo starat, a tak skončí u svého mrzutého dědečka v horách. Oba k sobě ale postupem času najdou cestu a vytvoří se mezi nimi silné pouto. Heidi si hory zamiluje, najde zde svůj domov. Za čas ale musí odjet. Její teta totiž slíbila jedné bohaté rodině, že Heidi bude dělat společnost jejich nemocné dceři Kláře. Heidi se s Klárou okamžitě spřátelí, ale stesk po dědečkovi a po horách je tak velký, že se vrátí zpátky domů. S Klárou se však tak docela loučit nemusí, brzy totiž přijede Heidi do hor navštívit. A kdo ví, třeba se v krásném prostředí hor i uzdraví…
