    Judith Merril byla americká a později kanadská autorka vědeckofantastické literatury, editorka a politická aktivistka. Své rané psaní věnovala i jiným žánrům, ale proslavila se především svými sci-fi díly. Její tvorba zahrnovala romány a povídky, a také rozsáhlou ediční činnost v oblasti antologií. Merril zanechala významnou stopu v žánru science fiction.
