Klinický deník Sándora Ferencziho tvoří zápisky reflexí z jeho psychoanalytické práce s pacienty z roku 1932. Text, původně psaný v němčině, který přeložil a uspořádal Michael Balint, Ferencziho žák, zjevně předběhl svou dobu, byl odložen, anglického vydání se dočkal až v roce 1988. Ferenczi byl Freudovým žákem, u něj absolvoval psychoanalýzu, považoval ji za nedostatečnou a marně se dožadoval jejího dokončení. Sám také nabízel psychoanalýzu Freudovi, který ji odmítl. Klinický deník představují zápisky týkající se zejména tří významných okruhů – teorie traumatu, psychoterapeutické techniky a vztahu s Freudem. Sándor Ferenczi svým přístupem a myšlenkami inspiroval vztahovou psychoanalýzu, nejdynamičtěji se rozvíjející současnou psychoanalytickou školu.
