Dva romány (Kočka, 1933; Duo, 1934) francouzské herečky a nejvýznamnější francouzské spisovatelky první poloviny dvacátého století, spisovatelky, jež se ve své tvorbě zaměřovala na líčení citů, instinktů a erotických vztahů postav a zejména pak ženských hrdinek. Oba romány představují variace na téma žárlivosti mezi mužem a ženou třicátých let. V prvním se manželské neporozumění projevuje ženinou žárlivostí na manželovu kočku. Ve druhém, v němž převládá dialog, se muž nedovede smířit s jedinou smyslovou nevěrou své ženy.
