Kniha se velmi dobře čte a dozvíme se z ní mnoho zákulisních informací, ke kterým bychom se běžně nedostali. Přínosem je osobní zkušenost autora a pohled „zvenčí“ – názor Američana a novináře. Pro nás jakožto obyvatele dotčeného regionu a nepřímé účastníky zachycených událostí je dílo mimořádně zajímavé vylíčením událostí roku 1989 v celkovém kontextu tehdejšího Československa a okolních zemí.

Když se sejde virtuózní předloha s neméně virtuózním překladem, vznikne mimořádné dílo. A právě takový je Zrzavý Orm Franse G. Bengtssona. Zrzavý Orm je ovšem jeho jediným románem a nechce se uvěřit, že baví čtenáře po celém světě už téměř osmdesát let.
