Vilmos Pogány byl maďarský ilustrátor, jehož díla jsou charakteristická stylem Art Nouveau a čerpají z klasických mýtů a legend. Kromě ilustrací dětských i dospělých knih se věnoval také filmovému výtvarnictví a tvorbě uměleckých instruktážních knih. Jeho veřejné umělecké práce zdobí významná místa ve Spojených státech. Pogányův styl a volba témat z něj činí výraznou postavu v oblasti knižní ilustrace.
