It highlights the enhanced right hemispheric advantage in processing emotional information, while noting minimal influence from anxiety. The research addresses methodological concerns from previous studies, emphasizing the significant role of negative affect in hemispheric asymmetry. These findings enhance understanding of the neuropsychological mechanisms behind depression and offer insights for diagnostic assessments.
