Steve Irwin, postava známá ze série televizních seriálů také pod jménem Lovec krokodýlů. ProsluI zejména svou prací s nebezpečnými zvířaty a svými často kaskadérskými kousky s krokodýly. I v naší televizi vysílali (na některých kanálech ještě stále vysílají) seriály o jeho obdivuhodné práci s plazy a s australskou faunou vůbec. V Austrálii založil zoologickou zahradu a díky zmíněným seriálům se stal opravdovou celebritou. Bohužel, v roce 2006 nešťastnou náhodou zemřel při potápění – přes všechny jeho odvážné kousky ho nakonec zabilo vlastně mírumilovné zvíře.
