Přestože se Terrence Vance Gilliam narodil v Americe, je britským scenáristou, filmařem a členem komediální skupiny Monty Python. Je jediným členem skupiny Monty Python, který se narodil v USA, zatímco ostatní jsou rodilí Britové. Jeho unikátní tvůrčí styl a smysl pro humor jsou znatelné napříč jeho díly.
