Sin duda, el río Miño es la columna vertebral fisica y simbólica de Galicia. A lo largo de 315 kilómetros, sus aguas cruzadas por incontables puentes bañan dos centenares de municipios, fertilizan cosechas, abrevan ganado y ofrecen pesca. A este inmenso patrimonio material, se le añade también otro inmaterial conformado por un paisaje humano e histórico igualmente inabarcable. Con espíritu investigador, pero también poético, Xesús Fraga emprende un viaje de seis meses a lo largo del recorrido del Miño, en un afán por desvelar sus secretos terrenales, históricos y míticos. El resultado es un espléndido relato que tiene como protagonista al río, pero también, y sobre todo, a las personas que habitan sus riberas.
