Lou Skalney stalks and murders the man he believed killed his daughter and got away with it in the courts. He tells everyone he did it, would do it again, and refuses his lawyer's advice. But instead of dying by lethal injection, he awakens in a cloistered monastery full of monks and other murderers. The state believes it successfully executed him, so no one knows he's alive. Does he find redemption? Are the monks spiritual guides or do they have a sinister agenda? His reporter friend, Rudy, finds himself imprisoned in the same monastery when he discovers what the monks are really about. Will Lou or Rudy escape? In the end, Lou is a changed man and sacrifices his future for his friend.
