Legie Condor - toto jméno má většina lidí zabývající se historií válečného letectví spojené se španělskou občanskou válkou. Její jméno ale odchodem německých "dobrovolníků" ze Španělska nezaniklo. Dále je nosila bombardovací eskadra nacistické Luftwaffe a pod tímto názvem šířila zkázu po celé Evropě. Heinz Kiel se zabývá historií této eskadry od jejího vzniku, přes španělskou epizodu, celou druhou světovou válku až do jejího konce.
