Německý teolog Manfred Oeming se ve svém Úvodu do biblické hermeneutiky pokouší podat přehled všech současných způsobů výkladu Bible a vyváženě je zhodnotit. Ke každému z nich uvádí jeden příklad interpretace biblického oddílu Starého zákona a jeden zákona Nového, čímž podtrhuje nejen svéráznost jednotlivých způsobů interpretace, ale také rozmanitost možností, jak lze biblickým látkám porozumět.
