Paul Bourget

    Paul Bourget byl francouzský romanopisec a esejista, který se odklonil od naturalismu a stal se průkopníkem experimentálního analytického románu. Jeho raná díla, plná jemných studií mravů a charakterů, si získala oblibu u pařížské smetánky hledající sny o modernitě. Později se Bourget zaměřil na „román s tezí“, kde zkoumal psychologické a morální příčiny individuálních a společenských problémů.
