Sara Stridsbergová (nar. 29. 8. 1972), nositelka několika prestižních literárních cen. Do literatury vstoupila r. 2004 románem Happy Sally, o dva roky později debutovala i jako dramatička dílem Valerie Solanasová se má stát americkou prezidentkou. Svazek zahrnuje hry Pitvání padajícího sněhu, Návraty, Umění padat. V centru Pitvání padajícího sněhu stojí historická, ale svým myšlením zcela moderní, genderově ostře vykreslená postava panovnice, za níž lze vytušit kontroverzní švédskou královnu Kristinu. V Návratech, odehrávajících se na dnes již uzavřené stockholmské psychiatrické klinice Beckomberga, autorka nahlíží do nitra pacientů a pacientek, pro které toto zařízení představovalo naději i peklo. Protagonistkami Umění padat jsou matka a dcera Bealeovy, kdysi známé osobnosti amerického showbyznysu. Po ukončení kariéry zchudnou, upadnou v zapomenutí a nakonec se spolu ocitnou ve starém, polorozpadlém domě na pobřeží Atlantiku, kde střízliví z někdejší slávy.

Hlavní hrdinka je zavražděna, její tělo rozkouskováno a v kufrech pohozeno po Stockholmu. Hlava chybí. Oběť sleduje „shora“, jak po ní rodiče pátrají, dokud se její identita neprokáže.
