V letech 1983–1987 mladý britský scenárista Alan Moore zmodernizoval americký komiks, přičemž jeho inovativní pojetí Bažináče nastavilo nové standardy pro grafické vyprávění a vyvolalo revoluci v komiksovém médiu.
