A new edition of Norman Brouwer's authoritative, illustrated reference to the world's remaining vessels of historic consequence, the International Register discusses 1200 vessels -- 500 more than the previous edition -- and includes 600 black-and-white photos and 16 pages of color. Its appendixes include vessels removed since the 1985 edition, remnants of historic vessels, a bibliography, a list of owners of these ships, a listing of vessels by type, and an index. The book also contains a Foreword by HRH the Duke of Edinburgh and an Introduction by Peter Stanford, President of the National Maritime Historical Society.
