Narodila se v Moskvě, ale většinu svého života prožila v USA. Na Sheridan College vystudovala klasickou animaci a živí se psaním scénářů k animovaným filmům. Po večerech se zabývá ilustrováním a tvorbou komiksů, z nichž některé vyšly v antologiích. Anin duch je její první samostatná kniha. Žije v Portlandu ve státě Oregon.
