I když by Pseudonymous Bosch nejraději vychválil svou knihu až do nebes (je to totiž docela ješitný člověk), vůbec ho netěší, že jste se o existenci jeho statečných jedenáctiletých hrdinů, tedy o Kas a Maxu Ernestovi, dozvěděli. Dost mu také vadí, že se v jeho příběhu dočtete o tom, jak tajemný kufřík plný ampulek, nazvaný Symfonie vůní, způsobil, že se neohrožená dvojice vydala pátrat po neznámém kouzelníkovi, jenž se za mimořádně záhadných okolností ztratil ze svého domu. (A vězte, že celý případ jeho zmizení vážně dost „smrdí“, a to doslova.) A už vůbec není autor nadšený z toho, že se seznámíte se všemi těmi nervy drásajícími dobrodružstvími, které Kas s Maxem Ernestem zažijí, když budou přinuceni postavit se mimořádně odporným zloduchům, kteří plánují zničit celý svět. Abyste totiž věděli: nejenom jméno této knihy je tajné, ale tajný je i samotný celý příběh. Protože jde o tajemství. MEGAtajemství!!!

Buď ve střehu! Na stránkách této knihy se nacházejí nebezpečná tajemství! Já tě varoval! Ale nemysli si, že ti něco prozradím, jako třeba to, že tato knížka je pokračování prvního dílu Tajné série, který se jmenuje Jméno této knihy je tajné. Proč bych ti měl připomínat, že když jsme se s našimi hrdiny v první knize rozloučili, Kas a Max Ernest se právě stali členy tajemného Bratrstva Muterces a začali se připravovat na další boj proti zlovolnému doktoru L. a jeho kumpánce slečně Mauvaisové? A už vůbec ode mě neuslyšíš nic o tom, jak Kas a Max Ernest navštívili Muzeum kouzel a konečně se setkali s úžasným starým kouzelníkem jménem Pietro. Ach, do prkýnka! Zase jsem nedokázal udržet jazyk za zuby! Tak aspoň rozhodně nepočítej s tím, že ti něco vyzvoním o ztraceném Zvukovém hranolu, krutém Lordu Faraonovi a tajuplném tvorovi, který se před pěti sty lety narodil v lahvi (fakt nekecám!) a je klíčem k největšímu tajemství všech dob… Ach jo, já si prostě neumím pomoct! Jsem vážně slepičí prdelka. Ale co si budeme povídat, jestli toto čteš, tak už je stejně pozdě.
