Obviously directed at Air Force readers, Colonel Timmons's book - because of its aphoristic, anecdotal, concrete approach - will speak to readers in other services and in many civilian organizations and institutions as well. Shelves in the nation's bookstores today are groaning under the weight of " how-to" leadership books purporting to reveal the secrets of how to succeed in one career or another. Most do not last.
